As is known, hair transplantation is the process of transplanting hair follicles taken from the donor area (the area between the ears at the nape of the neck) to a thin or balding area. In other words, the follicles harvested and transplanted are the person’s own hair.
HOW SHOULD I WASH HAIR IN THE FIRST 12 DAYS AFTER HAIR TRANSPLANTATION?
The first hair wash takes place on the second day following the hair transplant, and for 10 days, the patient washes their hair using the provided lotion and foam, as instructed and explained in detail.
With proper care and attention, the transplanted follicles will take root within the first 12 days. Any crusts that form in the transplanted area will fall off with a gentle, firm massage, as detailed in the instructions and video. At the end of this process, the patient will feel more comfortable and can wash their hair as often as they like, using the product of their choice.
HOW TO WASH DURING SHOCK SHEDDING?
Shock loss is a normal part of a hair transplant. While the shedding of hair strands caused by the channels opened during the transplantation process completely closing and breaking them is often unsettling, shock loss is actually a sign that the process is progressing well, meaning everything is going well. During shock loss, which occurs approximately 1-1.5 months after the hair transplant, the frequency of washing depends on the individual’s own routine and routine.
WHICH SHAMPOO SHOULD BE USED AFTER HAIR TRANSPLANTATION?
As previously mentioned, during the ten-day washing period, which begins on the second day following the hair transplant, the products provided by the patient’s preferred center should be used, and hair should be washed daily as instructed. After the scabs have been removed, the frequency of washing and the shampoo/conditioner used are up to the individual’s preference.
In general, whether or not the hair has been transplanted, using herbal products, avoiding excessive chemicals, and avoiding shampoos containing harmful ingredients are important for hair health.
HOW SHOULD THE HAIR BE WASHED WHEN THE HAIR TRANSPLANTATION PROCESS IS COMPLETED?
The answer to the question of how to wash your hair after a hair transplant is complete will depend on your individual washing routine and routine. While experts recommend shampooing once a week, numerous factors, including skin type, hair texture, and the environment you live in and your workplace, can trigger oiliness and loss of volume in your hair. In other words, once your hair transplant is complete, the transplanted hair will still be your own hair, so the frequency of washing should be a matter of personal preference, based on the factors mentioned above.
